MESTRE JURANDIR

Mestre Jurandir has dedicated the last 24 years of his life to the cause and promotion of Capoeira Angola. He was one of the pioneers of the Group of Capoiera Angola Pelourinho (GCAP), which played a prominent role in the present revival of the art form. In 1990, he started the N'GOLO Angola group in Minas Gerais, Brazil which is presently affiliated with the International Capoeira Angola Foundation. He is currently teaching Capoeira Angola in Seattle, Washington and is Vice- President of the International Capoeira Angola Foundation (ICAF).
