About UT Buddhist Association
Buddhist Association at the University of Texas at Austin (UTBA) was founded in 1987 to provide opportunities for people interested in learning about Buddhism. The UTBA is unaffiliated with any single group, and is supported by the donation of individuals.
UTBA provides a forum for students interested in Buddhism to meet weekly and participate in a variety of activities. Our organization also promotes and welcomes university students who have become interested in the Buddhist philosophy or who simply want a "taste" of what Buddhism is like. Finally, it is our intent to contribute the active diversity of religious and philosophy interests on campus with the unique perspectives that our members and activities provide.
There is no Bodhi-tree,
Nor stand of a mirror bright.
Since all is void,
Where can the dust alight.
